Previously I worked as an Advanced Imaging Specialist at Nikon UK, helping researchers across the North and Midlands to harness Nikon's portfolio of fluorescent microscope systems. Prior to that I was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Sheffield (2021-2024), using expansion microscopy in a range of life science projects. My PhD in Biophysics and Cardiac Biology at the University of Leeds (2016-2021) was funded by the Medical Research Council (MRC), through the Discovery Medicine North Doctoral Training Partnership (DiMeN DTP). I previously completed an MPhil in Adaptive Organismal Biology at the University of Manchester (2015-2016).
Outside of work, I love hiking in the Peak district, running and going to gigs.
